Building a looper?
Has anyone ever built one that could share some valuable information to a rookie? I have been searching around and found some info, but I want a multi looper, similar to a loop master, but I want to do this on my own. Of course I have never built one before, so I am searching for as much help as I can find.
I also want to have it with A and B + both, outputs. Any advice is welcomed!!!! |

I've built several pedals, one of which was a two loop true bypass pedal (which I don't use
). I would say start here:http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php Lot's of good info and schematics. |

Thanks everyone for the help and pointing me in the right direction. Once I have done more research I will have a better idea of what I can, or cannot pull off. Andre...I may be contacting you, and thanks for the advice!

I wish you the best of luck with this project. Be aware that in the long run it probably isn't going to save you a whole load of cash, but it's good for the experience. If you've never done anything like this before you need to be aware of a couple of things. The loops are simple enough but opt for a 'effect signal grounded when in bypass' config as is stops any oscilation probs you might have. Also many come unstuck when adding the led's. Make sure you visit the diy forums and find the best way to do it cause i've seen some quite bad examples which introduce alot of noise etc, ask for the diagrams which show you how to do this properly. The most important thing is getting the earth right and making sure your solder joints are quality. BUT when it comes to doing the switchable outputs, there are a host of things to consider, which I just wouldn't bother with. There are products available which will cost you alot less than trying to do it yourself. I know alot of people who've started similar projects and in the end just gone with something from the shelf because of the effort required to do this properly, so again....best of luck!
