$20 for new Celestion clones!!!

A couple of people at Guitars Canada bought some and say they're amazing sounding.I use to have a Crate 4X12 with no name speakers that you could not tell from Greenbacks,so they might be worth checking out!http://stores.ebay.com/Warehouse-Guitar-Speakers (this is not a functioning link cause I don't know how to do that!) Or maybe I do(edit)

Oh man!
Are these guys for real?! Because I'm in desperate need of new speakers and I'm a poor bastard!

I wonder how they sound... Anyone?

Could be another case of questionable ethics by contract manufacturers in China: First two shifts making Greenbacks, 3rd shift shipping relabeled greenbacks out the back door...

You'd think stuff like this would make people stop having their stuff built in China. Guess the quick buck wins.

There's a thread on these over at the FDP, too. Apparently, these speakers sound great. If I had a need right now, I'd check 'em out.

I have been blasting a pair of the V30 clones for over a month now in a 2x12 cab. I run a Musicman HD-130 non-reverb and I will tell you they sound fantastic. No ghost notes, cone cry or weird stuff. And American made from what I understand...

All the Greenbacks I see have "Made in England" on the frame, magnet, and sticker. Where are you all getting this China idea for Greenbacks?

Hold on folks....Celestion's are built at our parent company factory, NOT a "contract builder" like others may use. Let's set that straight. It's easy to reverse engineer something and get the look down, but chances are the rule of life prevails....you get what you paid for. Ever see a Porsche Speedster kit car?.....yeah, it's a VW.

"I hate to break this to you, but Jimi Hendrix used new speakers. Think about it, it's not like his were built in the 1930's. Therefore you 'think' that you love the tone of vintage speakers when in reality you actually love the sound of vintage recordings!" ...overheard at NAMM - bravo!
