Need to get an old DiMarzio Super-D re-wound: Any suggestions?

Hey all...I've got a VERY early double-creme DiMarzio Super-Distortion (single braided lead) that needs to be re-wound. I already contacted DiMarzio and they wouldn't do it. Anybody know someone who might be able to get it at least close to its original specs?

Thanks!

It may be less expensive just to buy a new one. Also I heard that Seymour Duncan will rewind pickups.

I would just get as new one; probably cheaper.

Check out http://www.crcoils.com/ , ask him via email. Nice guy, his own pickups are excellent and inspiring. Maybe he can nail the tone you use to have with a rewind.
