Mosrite Fuzz
I was going through some old, forgotten gear, and came across my old Mosrite fuzz. Does anyone have any info on these? Mine has no logo, or markings of any kind, except the "M" on the two knobs. I remember getting it from a bass player friend around 1969.

The Inna-Gadda-Da-Vida fuzz. Great pedal, very very raw sounding.
From what I've seen over the past couple of years, originals in "good" to "great" condition sell for about $200, give or take. Most have been pretty beat up, though. Ashbass makes a exact clone that sells for about $100, and they always list the mint Mosrite they used as a model on eBay for over $1000 to draw attention to their clones for sale. Interesting marketing move, actually.

I assume you mean a Mosrite Fuzzrite? Those things are sooo awesome. How does yours sound?
I built a clone with some funny changes, and basically use it to make a wall of terrible noise. At some point, i intend to pick up one of the (more accurate) clones that that guy on ebay does, or build my own accurate one. One problem is that the current available schematics are said to have innacuracies. Actually, if you could take some photos of your pedal that would be sweet. I love those things. Nice gutshots would rule! -chris |

As a member of the DIY community, I'd really love it if you could take close up photos of the component and backside of the PCB board if you get a chance!
