I just bought an expensive CS Strat a month ago and its already got a big chip and buckel wear on the back!

Were having a bit of a cold snap at the moment so I figured Id put my leather jacket on an and mimmick the Fonz, I forgot what happens to your paintjob when wearing metal...

2. 2006 Stratocaster is in pretty good/new condition
3. 2007 Ibanez Artcore Hollow body is in perfect/new condition
4. 89 PRS CE-22 is beat to $hit, looks like $hit, and has been through hell.
5. 2007 Guild GAC-30 acoustic is mint*

Not buckle wear, rivet rash and worming.

My av62 Strat is free of buckle wear, I just have problems with running into things while its strapped around my neck so its got a number of dings all over it.

I don't baby them anymore. I was always selling these pristine clean guitars, eventually got sick of it and decided to have a little fun while playing. So now they look like they've been played, not abused, just played.

Mine are all gently worn, but I usually avoid wearing a belt while playing,,,,

My former #1 gig axe has a ton of worming. No rash or major paint chips/dings....but lots of worming. The cream finish has also darkened on the guitar overall, and the back of the birdseye maple neck (unfinished) is really tinted.

It's getting sort of relic'd from.....ummm......playing it......

Anything I have with belt marks came to me that way. The ones that don't aren't necessarily "pristine", they just don't have worming or buckle rash.

I wear my guitars up high.
They never get touched by my belt.

Most of my guitars are old and have their share of scratches and dings. My Gibson Ripper bass actually has a big belt buckle mark on the back.
