Which delays have a separate footswitch for self-oscillation?

I currently own a Keeley AD-9 and Freakshow Effects Digilog and love the self-oscillation option on them both.

I was just wondering what other delays have the same feature?

I know that the majority of delays self-oscillate at certain settings, what I am interested in are ones with a separate footswitch to control this function.

Ideally I am looking for an analog delay that has this feature AND tap tempo. Does such a thing exists?

I'm sure I'll probably end up sticking with one of the ones I already have, but I just wanted to know what else was out there...

SIB Mr. Echo
Warp mode on DD20 - sorta

The only tap tempo analog delay I know of is the Memory Lane. No self oscillating footswitch, though it does self oscillate with some knob tweaking, like most analog delays.

You could get a delay modded with expression pedal control of delay time and repeats. That would let you run in and out of oscialltion, but you would have to be a lot more coordinated than me.

Another idea might be the VFB-X from barge Concepts. This is a bypass/feedback/blend looper with expression pedal control. You can put a delay set to osciillation in the loop and then bring it in and out of your chain as you "play" the expression pedal.

I have a VFB-2. i don't use the feedback portion, just the Blend part. It lets me put just as much of any effect as I want into my chain.

The best way to accomplish this is to get a delay that has feedback expression control...so when you want self-oscillation you just use your foot to crank the repeats, and you can control it much easier than with tap tempo or a simple ramp switch. Its really easy, even the uncoordinated can do it with a bit of practice.

The moog delay also has expression control, and you could probably modify most analog delays for that if you know what you're doing.

Thanks for the suggestions!

This does seem decent though, using an expression pedal to control the max delay time is *almost* as good as tap tempo.

Have you ever used one? How do they sound?

I believe Michael provides a mod/option for one on the Memory Lane.

Found the SIB website... http://www.sibfx.com/

I might well join the Echoczar waiting list. But I'll still need something to time me over for the next year!

There's a jack on the side of the ML that can be used as an effects loop or a feedback (oscillation) controller w/an expression pedal.

They recommend the MoogerFooger exp. pedal, tho' I've also used a BOSS EV-5 that works just as well as the Moog.

..or two. I signed up in July of 2005 and still haven't heard anything. The Memory Lane came out a couple of months later & I've been using one ever since

I totally missed that. So essentially, with the Memory Lane I wouldn't need a custom model with an additional footswitch - I can just use an expression pedal to make the thing oscillate?
