Hard to judge from a video camera mic but I liked some of what I heard posted under the various models. No prices posted.

Yep. The low fi distorting vid camera mic and boatloads compression artifacts doesn't lie!

I think one of the owners of one of these amps has contacted me in the past looking for help since his amp did not sound good...... If memory serves me correct, it was just a sloppy build based off of one of the incorrect online schematics. Assuming I am remembering the correct amp.

Shows you that you never know who's asking technical questions and why Grasshopper. I wonder if the lead dress issue we saw, contributed to his problems....lol. Wonder if he still does it ? Sounds like it. Actually, nice front panel layout concept. I like his no BS approach to what it might be:

I hear it periodically fails, about every 28 days. Fordyflow, cute.

I think it's either Spanish or Portugues, but still funny....Fordyflow in any language is still Fordyflow.

Hi, everyone.

Yes, scott. That was me!

The builder is from Brazil (as myself) so his website is in portuguese

The amp sounded good except when cranked with a high pitched fizz behind
every note - but not too present, just a little annoying. The builder was
very helpful but I chose not to send him the amp. The drive was not as
dynamic as I thought it would be but my poor technique can't be the judge
of that . Clean channel sounded GREAT and was very quiet.
The circuit used deviated a bit from our 'accepted' schems. By my
request he included a post-od tonestack bypass which was poorly
implemented.A few of the differences include ALL preamp switches
you've ever seen, tube rectification or diode (my newbie and naivee
request) and layout. The latter was made worse by my choice
(again ) of a 2x12" combo with controls on top. It was the first
and as far as I know the only time he made it that way. He'd only
made heads at that point.

The PT failed some months ago and the builder sent me another one right
away. Since I tinkered around the amp too much (and ruined what wasn't
a good lead dress from the start) and I really got to understand this amps
a little better (thanks, Scott) I'm in the process of rebuilding it. I'm doing
this because I also got interested in building amps in general.

All in all I'd say it is a fair product and priced accordingly. Many of it's
shortcomings came from my own faults (as speaker choice for instance)
but lead dress and layout choice was not that great. Resistors used were
not high quality, caps were Xicon MPP and electrolytics were cheap ones
also (but I'm sticking to cheapies for now ).

Just a note, Fuchs. I understand your skeptcism but I'm not a builder nor
will I become one.

Oooh, this will sound stupid, but what is Fordyflow? (it's serious)

BTW Scott, did you catch my PM reply on the other forum?

Here's a pic of my amp:

Hello Fabio: Yes, Scot clarified this for me. I guess I remembered the discussions incorrectly, thinking you were the builder and not the amp owner. I hope you get it to work correctly. Enjoy.

You American guys have no idea of how it's hard and expensive to get good equipment in Brazil...

For instance, an amp like that is handmade and costs about US$1000. A reissue Fender Bassman is sold new for about US$3000, so it's not on Fuchs or Two Rock`s league.

Obviously the amp builder never saw a real Dumble and made it based on internet schematics. So, an amp like that is just a cheaper tool for musicians to make music. Fortunately, there are some great musicians around to overcome these difficulties. :AOK
