Glad I got my Soul Bender
Just wanted to say that I am 100% happy with my soulbender (especially when coupled with my fulldrive II on normal overdrive) and glad I got it off a TGPager for close to $100.
I just read that Fulltone has discontinued the pedal due to lack of good germanium transistors. They are going to get expensive, so get them while they are still relatively inexpensive. They will turn boutique in a hurry, I am sure of it. |

wow. i didn't know they had been discontinued, but I guess that makes sense due to the same issue with the 69 fuzzes. I've had my Soulbender for almost 10 years and I love it.

Picked one up second hand for very cheap a few years back...
There've been many, many new 'vintage-style' fuzzes flooding the *booteek* market since then, but I'll be keping the SB

Mine just arrived DOA and the store wants me to pay to ship it back.

If you want to keep it, contact Fulltone to see if they'll fix it.

Yeah, I sent them an email. I'll see what they say. I really want to keep it and get it repaired or replaced. It's weird, the output is really weak and sputtery and lots lower output than the bypassed signal. I swapped it out with my 69 and it's fine. I tried different cables, battery, positive tip pedal power 2 and guitar with no luck.

Music Alley Inc. in Birmingham, AL. I might try jumper wires around the switch. Thanks!

Just got mine .opened her up and its a matched set of NKT 275s. I was also surprised to see no goop Transistor values written on top and all parts identifiable

Just heard back from Fulltone and they won't pay the shipping either. They will repair it but won't replace it. They said to get it replaced I would have to pay to ship it back to the store, but of course the store doesn't have any more. Something seems very wrong about paying for a brand new pedal, paying to have it shipped to me, receiving it DOA and then having to pay to send it back. I know the shipping isn't much but it's the principle of the thing. Especially since I've purchased 8 of their pedals.

If you ship it back to the store for a refund, you will at least get your money back sans the shipping charge. And there currently seem to be SBs out there without the inflated prices. On the other hand, if Fuller fixes it, it will be like a brand new pedal. |

Just heard from Fulltone. It was a defective germanium transistor.
