Hamer Standard Custom USA--experiences, thoughts, commentary, rebuttle?

Comments on the Hamer USA Standard Custom, the Explorer shaped one. Pros? Cons?

I own two right now- Incredible guitars! I've never been much of a pointy guitar guy, but I think they are great.

I have owned Gibson Explorers (still have 1), and they haven't even been in the same league as my Hamer Standards. The tops are always gorgeous, they always play so well. Excellent wood, excellent workmanship-

That black top looks great!

it's not a custom (maple top and block inlays) but it is a '97 hamer mahogany with a one piece body and fralins. it is an amazing player and is a ton of fun to play on stage. i was surprised at how light it is considering it's size and shape.

surprisingly so. i was very pleased when i got mine. it plays great sitting down or standing up. it hangs just right.

I have had at least one Standard of some sort since 1990 or so.

Simply put, they're the Ultimate.
