GC Labor Day Sale...item question?

Well, I am going to be at this sale on Labor Day in my city, and I'm curious (first time going to this sale, heard of it for years) how much the price reducation is, %. I've heard it varies from 30%-70%.

Now my next question is..how much would a new JCM900 2100 SL-X be reduced to?

The prices are the same as always - very very few legit reductions. Might get 18 month finacing if you care about that.

Probably none. The 2100 SL-X is an older amp that hasn't been made in several years. GC usually offers the blowout pricing on Squire Strats and things like that...

Stormin!

IIRC, each GC store is given an allowance for the sale by corporate headquarters. Let's say it is $5,000. The local store can use that any way they want. They could mark a couple of Les Pauls down to $1 or spread the allowance across all departments. There might be a drawing for a Marshall stack or discounts in pro audio. It's a mystery what anyone may find.

They tend to mark down used gear that has been there awhile and low, low end equipment (Crate SS amps, Squiers, etc). There will always be that one piece (Gibson at cost) just to drum up interest and excitement.

For the record, I once had a GC guy tell me that you could probably get most of the prices at any point if you are a good customer, aside from the giveaways and toss ins.
