Is the Two Rock Thing Just Hype
I don't know if it's just me, but i was just on the Two Rock website and saw their new models and prices and...wow!! 10 grand for an Overdrive Signature Head...are you kidding me? I've played and owned many amps, and even played a few Two rocks and nothing about them were worth 4200, mush less 10 grand! I have a few amps that I think sound better, are more versatile and cost 1/4 the price. I just want to know what you think.

I think the quality and tone are about as good as it gets...........10k good? I don't think anything(incliding dumbles and trainwrecks) have "tone" worth that, but in the end they are worth what people are willing to pay....and people must be paying.

Yes, it is all hype. There are builders who post on TGP whose amps are every bit as good as TR, some with better tone, (Roccaforte, Cameron, Fuchs, )...
I would easily put those on par wiith TR and some like Divided by Thirteen are far superior to Two Rocks. Of course Fred at D /13 isn't just copying someone elses circuit and calling it his own. |

well there has to be some excitement in the amps and cabs section now that c*r**t*n* is a forbidden subject.
i dunno, i've been listening to clips of the kimock sig. that have been cropping up here and reading scott's comments on the amp and thinking.... ![]() is that turquoise kimock quarter stack really worth as much as it would cost to procure such a thing. it certainly looks like a million $$$.

If you have the money get one. If you dont, dont
We could argue this all day, and have. Its ALL very relative Besides prices should only matter to the one buying. The buyer is the one who can weigh the cost benefit ratio. That said, I love my Fuchs, but I can understand why TR cost the way they do (Cali. manufacturing et al) Last edited by cyrja; 08-31-2007 at 04:54 PM. |

I am willing to bet the people who buy them are informed and have explored their options. This is certainly true of their artists and just about every TGP owner I've encountered.

I checked out your web page and you amps. VERY VERY NICE. I've stored it in the ol' memory bank for later use.
You do beautiful work. |

Buy what makes you happy and don't judge what others buy. How's that?
