KF Memorial Amp Info
Hi all, since a lot of people have been asking me about the amp and clips, We had Glen Kuykendall record some clips and they can be found here...
http://www.ampbuildersguild.com/clips/KENAMPbyGK1.mp3 http://www.ampbuildersguild.com/clips/KENAMPbyGK2.mp3 http://www.ampbuildersguild.com/clips/KENAMPbyGK3.mp3 http://www.ampbuildersguild.com/clips/KENAMPbyGK4.mp3 http://www.ampbuildersguild.com/clips/KENAMPbyGK5.mp3 http://www.ampbuildersguild.com/clips/KENAMPbyGK6.mp3 Please, let's not turn this thread into a typical KF fistfight. It's about an amp and tone. It's a tribute to Ken's memory. Allynmey |

Sounds great. Was this auctioned off yet? Did you win?

Sounded 'fantastical' .. ok I made up that word.. it was sort of 'phenomenal' and 'fantastic' together.. Very nice playing .. (I've liked Glen's style since I first heard it.. ) Thanks for posting Allyn.

That's great, Glen's playing fits those amps to a T.

Wow, great clips!!!
Reveal the complexity of tone, harmonic richness, dynamics, touch senisivity of the amp.
Also reveal the musicality and talent of the musician. Thanks Glen. Burst doesn't hurt either. Smokin' stuff!!! |

My understanding (correct me if I'm wrong) is that it has not been auctioned off yet. It went to a studio to be broken in first. I hope the auction is widely publicized here on the board (sticky's at the top of the different areas?), 'coz I want to bid on it! :BEER

I just moved this thread to the soundclips area because I see no offer to sell presently, and nothing that says that this amp will be done as a commercial enterprise. I'm not sure where it was originally, but I moved it from the Dealer's area.

Thanks.. for putting it where people can hear the clips. It started in the amps and cabs section. Where many other post have clips and same type of description. The dealer section was just not the place to have the amp.

Good lord! That is an amazing sounding amp. And Glen's playing is unreal. I don't know much about Trainwreck tones but I can say that those tones made my skin tingly. My fiance was watching me while I was listening to the clips and she was cracking up. I had my eyes closed and I think I copped a blues face on some of those searing highs. It's like the those highs held right up there til feedback were ringing right at the back of my head with this pulling sensation. Awesome!

Thanks for getting this put back over here in the clips section. I hope folks like the tones!
Clips #1-4 are with my old LP, and #5-6 are with a Callaham strat. All are with the guitar plugged straight in with no pedals and the amp set the same throughout. www.myspace.com/glenkuykendall ![]() ![]() |
