I own a Thunderfunk and absolutely love it. Clips can be heard at the link below.

Yea.. those clips sound very good. Motown city.. nice character to the tone.. lower midrange area is 3 dimensional.

Speaking of Epifani.....

http://www.epifani.com/products/ps_600.php

This head is definitely in that range. Very simple for me to use. I really don't need to tweak it all that much. I can find good tone for any room and gigged outdoors with plenty of headroom with the UL310... This amp & cab is it for me! Just can't find enough good things to say about this outfit. Simply that I'm totally happy with it.

I've never heard an Ampeg that didn't sound good.

Well... I went for a svt3 ampeg and the extended back 4/10 cabinet. WOW... its all I wanted and more. I am playing a stingray 5 ( passives ) through a blackfinger comp ( tungsol 12ax7 ), diamond halo chorus, sansamp bass driver, and a bbe sonic stomp. The results are tone, tone, tone.. fits in perfect for blues, jazz and classic rock. Solid low end with meaty mid tones and the highs are natural... 450 watts of great tone.

Congrats on the new amp. For those that are still looking, I'd suggest checking out the Genz Benz GBE750. I now own one, and it's an amazing amp.

Good going. The SVT is to me the benchmark of bass amps.

Darn - I was going to suggest my SVT II for $1,100.
I can't even lift the thing anymore.
Congrats - I'm using the same SVT3 I've had for years!
(I use a BXT410HLF and sometimes a BXT115 as well).

That's certainly understandable...Acoustic Control basically folded 22 years ago.

There's a club in Fall River MA that I play at, that has a full Acoustic 370 as the house bass amp. What a party! Especially when you don't have to carry it. :AOK
