Looking for a "crazy" pedal...

So I've come across a bit of cash (enough for a "boutique" pedal or two) and I'm lookin' for a "crazy" pedal that will get me some unusual sounds. I've been looking at the Metasonix TM-7 and the Blues Saraceno Dirty Boy Fuzzy boy... What do you guys think? In terms of crazy fuzz pedals, would these two mofo's be a good choice? Also recommend me some other crazy pedals... anything. I'm on the list for that new Malekko delay, so that's cool, and also the BJF CAF, so no need to recommend those two... Looking forward to hearing from you guys! Also, anyone with the Metasonix, or Dirty Boy (any of their pedals really), please chime in! Thanks in advance, guys and gal(s). Cheers.

Marko M.

a Mid-fi glitch computer is a very crazy fuzz, if you like 2 octave down random pitch shifting/crackling noise.

The Fuzz Factory can be crazy. You should check out 4ms pedals, nothing but crazy. Also the Lovetone Big Cheese and the Cheese Source are pretty nasty fuzzes at boutique prices.

wow, thanks for all the recommendations, guys! I've heard of some, but haven't heard of others, so I'll go look into those... I was just playing my FF, and yes, it is indeed pretty "Crazy"! I was thinking about the Lovetone big cheese/cheese source, but one just escaped me yesterday by a few minutes on the emporium... Anything else? Any other pedals other than fuzzs?

I've thought about the fuzzpobe, looks very cool! Might just pick that up!!! But I don't think I'd sell my FF as it's a very cool box, too! What is a feedback loop, btw? I've always wanted to ask...

I haven't tried one yet, but it appears the Freakshow Maharishi can get pretty crazy and possible a bit freaky.

The Brown Rabbit is based on a Rat. The Maharishi, well here's what Freakshow says about it.

"The Maharishi pedal was first an experiment that basically took the concept behind 2 totally different types of effect pedals and made them into one. The first is a classic design called the Octavia. Most of you probably are familiar with the octavia...it is after all one of the most famous pedals ever and was even used by Jimi Hendrix himself!!!! The effect is a fuzz with an octave-up effect If you play single notes ABOVE the 12th fret. I like octave-up effects but they ALWAYS have a fuzz of some sort built into them right? I wanted to have the octave-up effect but I wanted to use my own Overdrive/distortion/fuzz behind it. Sooooo I tried to create an octavia type circuit that had very little gain/distortion to it so that I could use my favorite dirt box in conjunction with it without coloration to my tone. Coincidentally the octavia type circuit is strikingly similar to that of a passive RING MODULATOR! I found that when you play 2 notes together... high up on the fretboard especially...you get a sort of ring mod type effect with this weirdo pedal I had made. Now.....the kicker to this whole thing was that I discovered something else that this pedal did....if used correctly (that's a relative term ehhh?) you can effectively get an extreme treble boost which sounds very very close to a SITAR!!! SOooo I guess the moral to this story is....experiment with this pedal a LOT...you never know what it can do in the right, or wrong, hands!!!!"

And some soundclips:
