I just noticed that the other day...LOVE IT!

I love Mike's work.

He is making me a bass right now and I'm asking him to do it in that color.

Love it. Jim

I dunno if it's the same model or not, but it looks a lot like the pink/black crackle one Matte has/had. He posted about it a while back so there may be some info on here with pics. Def cool though & I love the shape.

Actually, I just found a pic of it further down the page:

Oh and here's Matte's thread about it: http://www.thegearpage.net/board/sho...d.php?t=141457
Unfortunately the pics are no longer available.

I don't llike the rough looking angles on the body, not at all. It looks, IMO, like some kid using the wood shop equipment on his 1st day.... without a template.

Not great looking, but I'll bet with looks like that it must play and sound hot. Sort of like that ugly chick that just puts out. She has to try harder cause she's a dog!

I've been stoked on this model since I saw Matte get his crackle finish one.

I've seen a few other one-offs and would love to own one if I ever have the spare change; the cubist and asymmetrical bent in Michael's designs appeals to me on many levels.

michael stevens is a national treasure. his aesthetic and skillset are exceptional. he's built me several guitars (since 1990) and they have all been extraordinary. i have 2 on order right now.
