Solid State amps?

I was looking for a particular company that makes some really interesting SS amps...I found them here once but lost the link...
Anybody know who I mean?

Solid State isn't ALL bad.

Yeah - there is one I like a lot. I'm not going to say until I tag one on Ebay for a backup amp. Then I'll spill the beans.

Yamaha G100-115...



Weber alnico Chicago 15...



= great cleans.

I love an overdriven tube amp, but the Yamaha is my definition of great cleans. I like it more than the Twin I used to gig with, or my old 6L6 Carvin x100b (which was known for it's great cleans). The Chicago gives it a lot of warmth and character, and it's perfect for a SS amp for that reason.

Yep, should have mentioned BB as well. There's an L7 on the bay right now at $250. 4x10's. Wish I had the cash.
