for the price of a mansion (atleast here in Nebraska)

You could get yourself a 1930 Martin OM-45 Deluxe...

http://cgi.ebay.com/1930-C-F-Martin-...QQcmdZViewItem

suprisingly 23 offers have been made.

no affiliation with the auction

No. That seller tends to use eBay auctions with very high Buy It Now prices to generate discussion/interest.

Well, that is a very cool discussion piece. I still have my eye on an Andy Griffith D18... those are only going for around 2.5 grand.

Yeah, he may be listing it just to see how much it would fetch. I've actually thought of doing that with my '57 D-28, but it just doesn't seem right to me.

Wink

I'm thinking of making a lowball offer of $2mil to see what kind of response I get! Hope they don't take it! If they do, I'm in deep doo-doo!

Anyone figured out the listing fee on that? Probably very cheap advertising.

Bingo. For some people there's no better way to get a real-world value on something. If I had something that collectible, I'd set a ludicrously sky-high price to keep the guitar from being sold yet.

Think I should send him my '89 Gibson Les Paul Studio to sell? I'm sure he could get at least $500,000 for it.

A mansion in Nebraska is like a canoe in the desert.
