Yep, it's a little streamlined. We like to do this shape when going without a pickguard, it looks sleeker.

![]() This guitar is a real screamer, extremely resonant and very microphonic. Has acoustic qualities in its sound. A very organic guitar to play and hear. Neck: Birdseye maple neck with birdseye maple fretboard, medium C carve, 22 6150 medium-jumbo frets, 7.25-9.5" compund radius, tinted polymerized oil finish. Body: Lightweight alder with a bookmatched 1/8" spalted/flame maple cap. Ivoroid top binding. Tuners: Gotoh with brass ferrules. Bridgeplate:Wilkinson chromed stamped steel top-load. Saddles: Glendale compensated hardened steel. Finish: Tinted polymerized oil. Pickup: Lindy Fralin Blues Special. Knobs: Tiger wood. Nut: 1 5/8" Bone String tree: One butterfly style tree. Jack cup: Electrosocket. Electronics: CTS 250K pots, cloth wire, Switchcraft switch. Switch selects tone capacitor, .02/.04/none. Capacitor: 2 Orange Drops, .02

Hey, I just noticed that that second picture is with a different bridge on it than the first! I tried 3 different bridge plates and 3 sets of saddles before settling on the Wilkinson with Glendale heat-treated steel. That combination brought the guitar to life for me. The Glendale stainless steel bridge in the second picture tamed the guitar a touch and added more of an acoustic-guitar top end zing to it with a slightly scooped midrange. Very cool, but the ferrous Wilkinson lends a stronger upper midrange snarl that works very well with the Fralin pickup.
