vox sound at level between ac15 and ac30?
I had a vox ac15 (90s ri with celestion blue) that i loved the sound of, but simply needed more headroom (i played with it at around 2 o'clock on channel and master volume). so i got the AC30 TBX, and it's a little too far in the other direction--sounds great, but have to set it so low that i can't really open it up enough (no master volume).
so, i guess i need the momma bear to the 15's baby bear and the 30's papa bear. what has something akin to the vox sound at a volume level in between those two? Anything close to or under $1,500 is cool. |

The new AC30CC's have great master volumes on them.

the new ac30ccs also have a "22watt" switch... which is still uber loud though. The MV is pretty good on the bright side.

the brown note looks cool, but i'm looking for a combo rather than head and cab.
any other thoughts on this? |

Give the AC30CC a go. I know it's not handwired and it's not boo-teek, but it sounds great.
If you're into waiting or scrounging the emporium, the Valvetech Hayseed has a great MV.
