Show your Rice Custom!

I received my Rice Custom today and it's absolutely incredible. It's extremely resonant and has the best clean tone I've ever heard. The attention to detail and quality of workmanship by Rich and Chris is highly evident, as is their passion for crafting extraordinary guitars.

That's such a beautiful guitar. If it had a neck pickup, I might've arm wrestled ya for it.

Chris is pretty sure the neck for mine came in today, and he said the lacquer is settling in nicely. Judging by the few 'baby pictures' I've seen, it's gonna be great. Ash + maple + a set of Mare 5549s...

Oh yeah, that is a sweetheart. Congrats!

It ain't no secret that I am a big fan of Rice Guitars. But those Rice boys just seem to get better and better at their craft. And now with Chris finally settling down and giving up his wild ways there is no telling what kind of musical goodies will be coming out of their shop.

I never get tired of showing mine off - #047 - maybe because I never get tired of looking at it.
It has a Broadcaster style body and a Fat C quartersawn neck with 7.25 to 9.5 radius board. Power to the point is provided by a Van Zandt True Vintage bridge pup and a Truetone PAF neck pickup.

Thanks I love the finish too! Transparent white is the name they gave it! I couldn't decide between white/blonde or a classic natural ash - I like both finishes so much. I asked if I could sort of have both - white/blonde with some wood grain showing. They nailed it for me! Here are the specs:

Neck: Maple with Kingwood fretboard, .99-1" thick C shape. 7.5" radius, 6105 frets. Polymerized oil finish.Body: Swamp ash.
Bridgeplate:Glendale Stainless Steel double cutaway.
Saddles: Glendale brass saddles.Finish: Nitro, transparent white.Pickups: Lollar Vintage set.
Pickguard: 3-ply parchment.

After lusting over a Rice for some time, it was that guitar & that finish that finally pushed me over the edge. You grabbed it right as I came into the funds to do so -- but I just put them towards her sister, #82.

I play a few of 'em, too...
I couldn't decide which one to show here, so here are a couple of 'em that I like.
