Looks like someone decided to go for the gold,,, someone on here started thread a while back in which the OP stated that he found a great way to mount pedals on his board. He simply used a bicycle chain. He took all the individual links apart and used screws to fasten them down.
Looks like this ebay seller has decided to capitalize on this grand idea.

I got one those kits, good price for what you get. The long links are essential for securing a wah type enclosure.

I have an idea, I'll throw it out here to see if someone thinks it's viable. If you end up selling it commercially please remember me!

Take a sheet of sturdy heavy plastic, the kind used to wrap houses....any color will do.....Cut it about eight inches larger than you want your pedal board to be...

Lay out your board....Remove the bottoms from your pedals....Screw the bottoms back on with the sheet material in between. after all the pedals are affixed staple the material ends under the pedalboard the same way you would upholster a chair. (you could finish the edges as well.

The way I'm picturing it you should get a pretty custom look and a sturdy board for a very inexpensive price.

Steve

I replied to a thread a while back about how these pedal fx fasteners are merely chain links from bikes

For the DIY peoples - if you really wanna save cash big time and want this go to a wal mart
bike chain =$5 + chain breaker= $3 + 1 hour of time= 140 pedals+

Its nice if you dont have time to pay $8 for a kit off the ebays, But if you do have the time plus $8 and an hour of time you'll have a pile of these, a simple #8 wood sheet metal screw with a button head is ideal for holding the links down on wood or metal obtainable at lowes in a 100 pack for $4.97

Pedaltrain users might want to consider putting strips of 3/8'' plywood or 1/2'' pine on their pedal trains- you can fasten the wood with 3 nut/bolt/lockwashers which leaves only a small amount holes on the pedal train , then you can do the chainlink thing really easy without putting 120 holes in the pedaltrain

I'd reccomend this over velcro anyday, velcros good if your changing out boxes weekly/daily etc but chainlinks provide optimal stickage to ye' old pedal board

I can't imagine why anyone has a problem with it either. Every time you want to move your pedals a little bit, you have to unscrew them and the shoot another screw into your board. What's up with that?

Well, with the chain clips, you don't have to worry about the pedals getting stolen as much

I like velcro. I even like it when I buy a used pedal and it already is on, then I don't have to do it.
