Ear training methods

Hello guys

Could we share some ear training methods? Im pretty new to ear training but my imagination tells me that some things are good for the ear

1) Transcribing

2) Singing all intervals against root note in all keys

3) Singing all inverted intervals against root notes in all keys

4) Playing scales horizontally and singing them

I wonder if there are any other ways ?

Cheers

Those all seem like great ways. Unfortunately I haven't done much specific training, but just wanted to say my greatest improvement took place when I was playing in a cover band and was regularly learning new songs. I think it was combination of playing songs that fell outside my comfort zone and being around another guitarist and a bass player that had much better ears than mine. Food for thought!

We did 1-3 of the above in the first-year music theory for music majors course sequence at my university. We didn't bother with 4. above very much.

The primary ear training text was Fundamentals of Sight Singing and Ear Training, followed by Ear Training for 20th Century Music.

I am still quite new and just started working on ear training about a month ago and haven't put too much time into it yet. I have used http://www.good-ear.com/ and GNU Solfege focusing on recognizing intervals.
