Delay pedal suggestions!

I have no more than $250 to spend. I want a delay pedal that can do subtle analog type delays and go all the way to short looper. Right now I am looking at the Akai Headrush E2 vs the DL-4.
What do people think?
Pros and cons of each pedal?

I have the DL4 and love it. I had gone through about 5 or 6 other delay pedals and none compare to the DL4.
The best part about the DL4 aside from the sound is the ease of use and ability to store 3 settings that can be switched back and forth. Very easy to adjust on the fly as well.

Electro-Harmonix Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai

I just got one and I like it way more than the Boss DD-20 i have had for years. Even works in front of a overdriven one channel amp with LOTS of gain. Many great sounds including a good looper :BEER

Just get the DD-20 and be done with it. It will keep you happy for a long, long time.

1 for DL4, 2ish for Akai, 2 for the EHX, and 2ish for the dd-20
Need more opinions!
Thanks!

One more nod to the Headrush, I had one, foolishly traded it away, and am now in fact trading to get it back!

The only thing that I wish it had which some of the others do is storage for presets. As far as ease of use though, I prefer it to the others mentioned.

I love the DL-4 for its versatility. So many sounds and its relatively easy to use. But it is sometimes hard to find one that doesn't break when you step on it.

I prefer Analog stuff for delay but the new NOVA is in your price range and probably compares with the DD-20

I am also looking at the eventide.

I have a Memory Lane and a Ad999 currently on the board thought the maxon is pending sale. The DD-20 is a good pedal. Though many love the DL-4 it never bonded with me and had some things I hated.

This or the Akai Headrush E2.

I'd say go for the SMMH because it has more delay options.
