Knowing Gibson prolly 6k.

They do look cool though except for the awful blue color.

I like blue...just not blue/silver burst.
According to wildwood's website they'll have some by the 7th for sale.
Later I think there will be a regular model with only blue...no silver

Street price should be in the $2100.00 to $2200.00 range.

Curious - how rapidly can the thing lock on and tune? I wonder if it could adjust tune mid-song?

I played one at GC Friday.
They are not allowed to sell them yet but my rep took me to the back room where they had one.

I was totally confused about how to use the damn thing.
The rep couldn't help either.
I managed to do tunning string by string, pretty slow process, you have to turn the knob and then pluck the right string... wait 1-2 seconds and then go to the next one.
As far as I can tell when in "tunning mode" the output is muted.
Given the muting and the slow process, I don't see how you can do this mid song.
As far as I can tell the tunning accuracy was right on the money.

I tried to figure out how to do drop tunning but no luck.
I guess I must read the manual because I was completely lost.
I hope I was wrong and hopefully you can tune this thing all at once and not string by string otherwise I don't think it's worth the hassle.

The guitar was part was OK, not Historic OK but standard OK.
The tunning motors on the headstock look huge, much larger then I imagined, these parts look and feel solid and they turn with authority, on the other hand the selector knob (in the bridge tone position) looks and feels like something that might get broken with time.

It was interesting, a conversation piece but I don't think I would buy one.
The size of the tunning motors kinda killed it for me.
It doesn't look like an LP with those huge metal boxes.... it looks more like a... robot.

HI,

The technology is from this German company http://www.tronical.com/ At least I can rest easy knowing that the tuners itself will be robust since it's German technology.

Yeah, it looks like you can tune all the strings at once.
This demo video makes thing more clear:

http://www.tronical.com/mediacenter/videopopup/1

More info I dug up:

Retune normal tuning: 2 seconds.
Normal to Dropped D tuning: 4 seconds
Normal to Hendrix tuning: 8 seconds.
Price: 899 Euro (I'm sure Gibson got a nice discount)
