sigur-ros-like-reverb

which reverb does have the biggest, warmest, loveliest reverb?? :NUTS

somehow i don't like line6 (verbzilla),... the boss rv-5 looks attractive... but maybe i should take a 19" rack reverb instead? or anyhow the line6? maybe the nova??? !! ??

i had a holy grail once that i liked...
i know the digitech and marshall don't sound big enough...

it has to be that warm (non-sterile sounding), open and BIG reverb.
imagine sigur-ros...

(best true-bypass or at least a decent buffer)

i hate saying it, but the Line6 will get you there.
the TC electronics pedal would also do it...
you could also get similar tones with an old Quadraverb rack unit

Setting your amp in a cathedral or gymnasium would be best, but I voted Verbzilla.

racks are better for sigur ros. i own a tc electronics m300 only because my p&w band covered Glosoli last april. I tried everything to live with a pedal. Bought verbzilla, RV5, RV3, reflector. Only TC electronics gear could pull it off to my satisfaction... the nova would be like a dream come true- if it was 100 bucks cheaper...

The Church setting on the Digiverb is actually quite lush and huge, IMO.

i voted verbzilla.

for me, the key to the sigur ros sound is lots of reverb in FRONT of an overdriven amp. i guess i'm thinking mostly of the bowed guitar sound, but experiment with order before giving up on a pedal.

T Rex Room Mate.

Smoked the Nova IMHO. I couldn't get the Nova off my board fast enough. Very digital sounding.

Try the "cave" setting on the Verbzilla. It can sound HUGE.

Buzzackly. I was just tinkering in that post rock realm tonight with the Vzilla and delay. Beaty.

I prefer some of the hall settings on the RRR to the "Cave" Verbzilla. More pure for sure, and huge. With the mix about 80% wet ....think "Over the Hills and Far Away",the end part....Organ-like. Verzilla is bang-for-buck though.
