Hotrodded Tubescreamer

Hi Everyone,

Long time reader first time poster here. Amazingly my wife has agreed to buy me a pedal for Christmas! I just got a four hole plexi style amp and I am looking for something to drive it into say hot rodded jcm 800 territory. So I am turning to the panel of experts here for suggestions and hopefully it will be something I don't have to wait two years to get.Right now I am looking at the Keeley TS9DX Flexi 4X2 and the Jacques pedals

Thanks!

I think I'd go with a Barber Direct Drive. It has a marshall like character anyway and would have more than enough gain to get you into that territory I'd think.

Don't forget about the Maxon TS 808. Keeley will still mod these, and they definitely rock! The unmodded version is really too bright, but the Keeley mod really wakes it up. The TS9 dx is a great version too, I have the stock one, but really haven't used it much since I got the Maxon. Good Luck!
