.043 or .022 tone cap, Lil' 59 & JB jr?

Which tone cap would you all use with those 2 single coil size HB's? Why? Thanks!

i would first try the smaller cap, since those are "thickly" wound humbuckers.

It really depends on what YOU like, there's no right or wrong answer.

I've used both pickups for the bridge position.

I personally like .010 or .015 mf.

.043 would be more muffle, .022 would be somewhere in the middle.

The best answer for your question would be try them all out and see what you like.

just run two small wires out and hook up to different values then decide.

I've got a Lil59 neck, Duckbucker middle, JBjr bridge. I use only one tone control, a .015mf on the neck only. As a bridge pup, I don't think the JBjr needs a tone control because it doesn't sound excessively bright like a single coil, but to each his own.

Yup - you really need to experiment with different values. For instance I have a LP Jr wiht a .047 PIO on a Lollar 9.7k P-90. It sounds amazing, but I might swap it to a .033, then try a .022 just to see if there is any improvement on the tone.
