Think I need a clean boost that sounds natural

Hi! I'm looking for a clean boost to do 2 things:
1 - slight volume increase for taping dual to single coils
2 - slight volume increase for solos

I have been using a Boss GE7 but I cannot stand the sound of the boosted signal. It sounds very artificial/digital/something like a low-end solid state amp. I want something more "musical" or transparent.

What do you all recommend?

As always, thanks!

I love my radiosound boost. Best boost I have had. And I collect boost pedals. Klon is amazing too. The radiosound knocked the skrydstrup off my board.

If you are looking for something sub $150. A used late 90's sho is pretty good.

I just bought a catalinbread serrano picoso from the emporium.. hope it does a nice natural boost. I had a Zvex SHO before and it was nice and sparkly at low to medium volume.. but real noisy at higher volume(hum). The best clean boost I ever had was believe it or not a Carl Martin Hot Drive 'N Boost pedal, the boost side of that pedal was perfect, same tone just a little louder. Wish I kept that one around.

For boost with added presence - Zvex SHO, Catalinbread SCP

For boost with added midrange - GtrWrks 19 Sixty 3 Booster

For boost with frequency control - Barber EQ

Thanks for all the great suggestions so far! What do you guys think of using a Comp to do this? Used lightly of course?

The new Fulltone Fat Boost 2 works great for me. Especially between single and humbucker, the eq knobs are easy to dial in and it can be clean and clear or just a little gritty if wanted. And its inexpensive too.

Lots of people use compressors as clean boosts, provided of course that you want to add compression! Maybe something subtle like the Diamond or Barber Tone Press would be good.
