How to install gibson pickup covers?
Hello, is there any website to see how to install gibson pickup covers?
Thanks |

It`s easy. Just press the pickup all the way into the cover very tightly. Then put a bead of solder on either side in the center.

Thanks, do i need to remove the pole screws? I have read it on the gibson forum and it seems a little strange

I never have. Just make sure the pickup is pressed in snugly so the screws are through the holes. You`ll know when you have it right. LOL

Yeah, don't make it harder than it is. Like the man said, just press the pup in tightly and put a small bead of solder on either side. That's all there is to it.

I use a small "C" clamp and two pieces of hardwood to hold the cover TIGHT before soldering. The last thing you want is to get it back in the guitar and hear that squeal!

My SD Antiquities aren't potted and that's no problem.
