Any thoughts?!!!

You're welcome. I like brighter tone....
If you want warmer tone , less top end,
try Swamp Thang. My friend from Berklee,
he just put the Swamp Thang to his silver face
Deluxe. He is very very happy!

The amp has a lot to do with that.
However, I'm very much sold on the
Govenor, and Tonker for just about
everything.

I have some new samples coming, should be here anyday now.
I'll report back as soon as. Doug

Hi toykat - There's a simple mod for DR's and DRRI's that many people do. It's removing the 47pf bright cap from the volume circuit of the vibrato channel. I find that it helps tame the highs.

OK dudes, just blasted through
the Wizzard with just about every
different style of amp made.

The tone is as good as the Govenor,
but with a softer top end, and less
compression. I was extremely impressed
with its performance running on Fender
black face amplifiers. Excellent match.
I'm certainly going to offer this speaker
in my product line.

Doug,

Did you like the wizzard with black face fenders better than the Tonker?

For a softer less tighter bass response, yes.
Amazing with Fenders.

wHAT about the top end? I found the Tonker to have less "spank" and more midrange (than some other spks, don't have a Wiz) - kind of made a BF sound dumbly

I'm running two tonkers in a ZBest with an Allen Tone Savor 80w head.
The tonkers replicate the blackface tone really well. I'm also using an American Deluxe Strat and an Asat Classic. Both with some vintage or blues flavored Fralins in them. I don't use the bright switch and the treble sits on about 5 1/2 to six on the amp. That's as spanky as I want to get.
I love the bottom end tightness I get with these speakers as well as the twang.

Sound like you don't want very much of the BF bite or "spank" . I though the Tonkers sounded great in a BF type - but just not like typical BF.

I did like it with my Tele - kind of took the edge off w/o loosing the twang

So Doug,

Is the Wizard going to replace either the PJ or Gov. in any of your standard amps or cabs, or just as an available option?

Would two PJ and two V30 mix well in your opinion?

I don't like mixing speakers, so no.
