soundhole pickup fo a D28..

I have a great 2001 Martin D28 that I usually only use in my living room, but an acoustic gig has come up and I want to use it, can anyone recomend a good soundhole pickup to use...? bear in mind that I'm primarily an electric player with zero experience of what I should be looking for... thanks.. Gerry.

for simple that sounds very, very good and is very good at avoiding feedback... a big +1 on the Baggs M1 either active or passive

go lose your mind here for a few hours. soundclips of the m1 and others. i am not personally a big fan of soundhole pickups, but if forced to choose would pick the fishman bucker with gooseneck. i prefer petillo above all, and would love to see if a schertler could actually make it through one of my gigs without falling off. . . THAT pickup is something else. like i said, though. . . petillo all the way for me and for 150 bucks. . . .

I've been thinking about doing just that with my Guild 12-string.

a soundhole pickup in a 12-string is going to emphasize the octave stings, so probably not the best bet.

I use old DeArmond 210s but they are not to everyone's taste as they are not the most acoustic sounding pups. They are, however, warm and well balanced and ya can plug into any old amp.

Of the newer stuff, there are Sunrise pickups but they are a bit on the pricey side. I do not think Highlander makes a soundhole pickup but you could check.
