I am diggin' the Bad Bob boost in a big way!!

Where has this pedal been hiding my whole life? Clean to scream with a twist of my volume knob on my strat. No fooling around here, it's completely badass with clarity and dirt all at the same time.

Just got one myself. After one rehearsal (and a couple of evenings of fooling around in the music room), I've got it set to either boost my clean sound up to 11, or take whichever distortion/overdrive sound I'm using and push it over the top. I like what it does, but I found I had to tweak my overdrive settings to ensure the treble didn't end up sounding too abrasive with both pedals on (ZIM + Bob). Cheers,

It's very similar to a SHO, but with a little more grit. I don't think it has as much high end as a SHO.

A great boost, indeed. It seem to have "its" dirt more in the low mids, whereas it sounds cleaner on top. Definitively a flavor on its own. Could live without the high end boost, though, it can sound a bit spikey through a clean amp, but I still like to use it as a boost for clean solos.

If the SHO has even more of a treble/high end boost, I'll stay away from that one (but I guess the boost on my BoR already sounds like a SHO, without the extra treble, so I'm good to go:-)

I asked Brad @ Tonefactor that question, as he carries both, and he said they were very similar.

I've had a Bad Bob for years and I love it, but there are times when I wish it had less dirt as it's turned up, especially when I use it as a lead boost with other OD's. I recently tried a Lizard Leg Effects Flying Dragon clean boost, and liked it enough to order one; it has a little less overall volume than the Bad Bob (which isn't a problem for me), but stays clean, even at max setting.

I've been using one for 2 1/2 years now. It's not going anywhere. I have used it in the front end as well as in the effects loop. I currently have it in the effects loop so that I can boost both channels of my Mesa Maverick. I set it at 10:00 and get the perfect amount of volume gain, with just a hint of extra dirt.
