Heard a Skrydstrup OD amp....incredible!

Recently heard a Skrydstrup OD amp and it sounded incredible. Did it all from a sweet clean to the Ford/Carlton OD tones.
Just wondering why I don't see this amp mentioned very much. Is it because of the $4000.00 price tag and its scarcity?

Probably one of the best D type amps I’ve played and I’ve played many of them J
Our friend Woody still has one and loves it. Listen to the demo http://www.woodys-guitar-world.co.uk/listen.htm

they were distributed in the USA by 6th string music. Not sure if that is still the case.

Wonderful amp.
The price appears to have shot up a bit, but compared to other similiar style amps it's still quite competitive.

First d*mble style amp I bought and still ticks all the boxes for me.

Well then you very much chaps. Chuffed you took the time out to listen.

I guess If guys are interested specifically in the Skrydstrup Tones here's a couple of ditties featuring just that:

THD Cab Suhr Chambered Strat
http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6063122

Celestion 1265's Suhr Chambered Strat
http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6090672

(All the eminence speaker demos and the Celestion blue on my site are using the Skrydstrup OD50.)

GREAT, great amp. Very versatile. To me it is not extremely Dumble like, it is in that camp but players that typically don't like other Dumble style amp could probably like the Skrydstrup.
I sold mine because my Mystic/cougar amps are more extreme and since i do not need versatile i sold the Skrydstrup. Which i could afford one again. Sadly for you guys in the US the price might seem high because the $ is VERY cheap these days, or from your point of view the € is expensive.

I hear you brother.

Dxmble seems to be many different things to different people. Even the builders don't always agree let alone the players. I thought I knew but now in all honesty I really don't know anymore.

My only defence is Master Lerner once posted on clip one saying it was one of his favourite Dxmble style tones................

Not important - it's a nice little amp in its own right. should be heard a little more.

He's just down the road from you you lucky swine!

Well i sort of agree that it is stupid to say that Skrydstrup is not "Dumble like", there might be some Dumbles that sound very close to the Skrydstrup. What I'm trying to say is that Skrydstrup might appeal to some players that don't like most other Dumble inspired amps or think that they don't like Dumble inspired amps. I THINK (from clips and descriptions) that Skrydstrup is closer to a Carol-Ann than some other Dumble inspired amps. Another thing is that Steen Skrydstrup done his own take on Dumble, adding a different boost and such, so it is not a CLONE.
Bottom line is that the Skrydstrup is a GREAT amp, cleans reminded me a lot of the Suhr CAA OD-100 and the overdrive worked better for straight ahead hard rock sounds than most Dumbles clones you hear clips off.
