Can anyone recommend an amp.....

...that meets these criteria?

- around 40 watts w/ pretty good clean headroom
- 1 x 12
- not too heavy (yeah it's somewhat subjective)
- single channel
- reverb
- an external speaker jack
- not too expensive (subjective as well)

Thanks,
Dennis

Sounds like a Dr. Z Maz 38 Sr. to me. They're around 1800, not sure if that's cheap in your book.

That's the first thing that popped into my head. The OP's signature has some nice gear in it ... so maybe the money's good ...

Thanks. The Dr. Z is probably more than I want to spend, but the Soul-O 45 sounds interesting.

The Reverend Hellhound 40/60 doesn't have an external speaker jack but it has everything else you're looking for. You can usually pick then up used on eBay for $500 - $600.

Allen Old Flame, Encore, or Accomplice (w/40 watt transformer upgrade). Great amps, reasonably priced.

i've been really curious about these too. hand-made, simple, good rep, not too expensive.

I was going to suggest a DR, but you have one. The DR doesn't cut it?

The Reverend Hellhound definitely has an extension speaker output. 3 to be exact. 4ohm, 8ohm, and 16ohm. Take your pick.
