Soldering Etc.
OK, I got my new CR Coils pups and the RS wiring kit, but I need to know, is there a right kind of solder and soldering iron to use for putting it all together??? All suggestions are welcome and appreciated.
THANKS!!

![]() You want at least a 30 watt iron, if I remember correctly. And I believe rosin core solder. |

I use silver solder and a weller soldering station. very consistent and precise temperature regulation, and less chance of damaging something.
In all my hair-brained schemes, I've destroyed exactly 1 component...a 30 cent resistor, because I forgot where it was.

Radio Shack 40watt iron & RS .032 rosin core solder. Been using the same one for years now. I have a couple of extra tips for different applications.
