Zendrive: One of the best

THis is the first "boutique" pedal I am actually keeping.

What a sweet singing juicy sustainful gain the Zendrive is capable of.

That is does while remaining dynamic and very organic sounding, ie: amp sounding is incredible.

Bottomline for just under 2 bills the Zendrive is an outstanding pedal and a great value

Exactly why they are so popular. Put a light OD before it, ie a Timmy and you have singing sustain for days. Great pedal.

It is a really great pedal especially for the price.

But,

Out of all the pedals out there that go after the smooth, silky, and chirp of "D" amps, my pick goes to the Ethos.

I love mine. Sensitive, and complex. Its fab with any style guitar, but with a bucker guitar, it just sounds dumble and horn like

To be sincere I wasn't that impressed by the pedal alone even if I admit it stacks well and with timmy it shines! Anyway I guess my disappointment deals with the fact that I mainly play rhythm and I prefer single coils when Zendrive is intended for soloing with humbackers. So it's just a matter of me making a wrong choice...

Try the Timmy AFTER it!! Set gain about 10:00, eq a bit to taste.
LONG sustain.

It's my #1 favorite pedal I've ever owned... definitely some magical mojo going on with it!

I think the Zen is great at lower settings too. With my R9 and Dr. V PAFs and my BF Vibrolux it adds almost a deep effect somehow adding a more 3 dimensional persepctive while giving a little hair to each note. However each note is defined and not wooly at all.

I like it too with my vintage strat. My initital observation I find it definitely adds girth to the tone without sounding over processed or smothering the single coil chime.
