Reeves Custom 10 HG

This new Reeves amp seems pretty cool. Click on the link, scroll down to the sound clips and try clean to mean. Not bad for a $999 head.http://www.reevesamps.com/index.php?...d=33&Itemid=54

That is very cool and a nice price for such high quality products. The sound clips sound quite good too.

Looks like it's specifically marketed to us bedroom players....

Yes, the concept of having a higher gain amp for bedroom, studio or small gigs was the impetus behind the Custom 10 HG...if I do say so my self, this little bugger rocks.

Right on for chiming in. A guy like myself can appreciate being able to dialogue with the designer/builder. As you might have noticed in my sig, that "little bugger" is probably right up my alley...Thanks again for posting.

Is it me or is the beginning of the clean to mean clip a bit of Robben tone?

How does this compare to the custom 6 or 12?

Looks nice, but why must they use advertising lingo claiming that loops and such muck up your tone. A properly designed full featured amp is not a compromise in tone.

The Custom 10 HG differs from the 6 and 12 in a few different ways, the different type of power tubes and preamp section. Because of the way the preamp is configured, the amp developes more preamp distortion. Where as the 6 and 12 gets most of its distortion from overdriving the power tubes.

I am definitely getting a reeves head soon. Thinking about either the Custom 12 or 10 HG. I know they sound very different but I am having a tough time deciding. Does the 10 HG have power scaling or just a master volume?
