lollar special, fralin blues w/baseplate more...
most recent i've tried.....
duncan qp - too much, p90ish, midrangey custom flat and staggered - good tone but too compressed virtual vintage solo - too thin and bright duncan antiquity - too thin and bright i've tried many others. right now i'm considering the lollar special s and the fralin blues with base plate. just need a strong, fat strat bridge pickup that doesn't take your head off or sound like a humbucker. |

Howdy,
Coming from a guy that "never" uses the bridge by itself cuz they all seem too thin and ice picky to me... I did have a Lollar Special bridge pickup that came in my Jeff Senn strat... it was definely the best I've heard for fat but not P-90ish... Steve |

I have Tele's with both of these pickups. They are both excellent but if I had to choose just one, I would have to pick the Fralin Blues special. It sounds a little phatter, richer than the Lollar. The difference is slight but noticable. You are on a win/win track with either you you choose as they are both superb pickups. Here's the Fralin BS in my Tele mated to a P-92 in the neck.
