Sig-x spam already

Saw a sig-x for sale on Rig-talk tonight. It's in the classifieds. It is not mine. I don't own anything better than a Single Recto. I just thought it was interesting because these things are really only a week or two old.

well, some guys buy purely for the NEW flavor of the week factor, not intending on keeping them. Or maybe it wasn't his thing, VHT's do have specific characteristics...that just don't work for some people.

Wow, it took that long?! I would've expected to see some up sooner, as that's the nature of that nasty disease called g.a.s .

There's a lot of buzz about the Sig-X, and rightfully so as it seems to be a killer sounding versatile amp with great features at a decent price comparatively. That doesn't mean, however, it will fit everyone and it doesn't take too long figure out if an amp will be your thing or not.

I bought my Rivera KHR from a twentysomething who's father was a surgeon in Boston.

He'd had it less than a month and sold it after replacing two of the four Svetlanas with a pair of Mesa 6L6s. I had it retubed with a matched quartet and have had it for almost three years now.

There's no telling what people will do.

Welcome to TGP.

This is a weird first post. Try starting out discussing and commenting on tone and amp features/ characteristics. This kind of stirring of the pot is pointless and adds nothing to the collective knowledge of gearheads.

Not to bust your chops too much, but WTF? If you own a Sig-X, or have played one and want to comment on that experience, go for it. Who cares if somebody bought one and is selling it now? What purpose is served by posting this?

Again, no offense, but most of us here are here to discuss gear and music. Speculating about the used market on really thin data ... I don't know, post it in the Pub. This section is for talking about amps.

Thanks, Dana O.

I just got my Sig X yesterday. It exceeded my expectations. I won't be selling mine anytime soon. If I didn't like it, you can bet that I would sell it quick. Right now that guy has it spammed for more than I paid for mine. If demand/interest is high and supplies are low, it's best to get out early if you don't like it - you lose less money that way.

If a guy with a Herbert says it exceeded expectations the gain tones must be pretty happening.

Thanks for posting.
