Gainster Of Barber Ltd????

I'm tossed which one to buy for a "first in line" pedal board light boost for crunchy, chimey chords and clean lead work BEFORE my TIM pedal. Clark or LTD??????????
Help a brutha out with some advise! And if you have one for sale, I'm all ears and part cash.

i also think that the gainster has some tweed tones in it? never played one, i i i want one, but thats what i think ive read so bear that in mind as the LTD will be much more of a straight light boost drive with a nice flat EQ to it.:AOK seeminglt more of what i think your post is looking for..

Jpagey,
Why do you say that? Experience with both? What's the gain/EQ difference between the two??

Yep. Read em all and I am leaning towards the Barber. I just picked up an RC booster that works VERY well. I am really liking that one, but want something by another manufacturer for my second board.

LTD V2 replaced the RC on my board ...
Notes in the chord did not lose their articulation no matter
how much grit ..

I used to swear by the RC until I tried out the Barber ...

There is no longer a "Silver" LTD? and the V2 took it's place?

I have a Clark Gainster used barely a couple of times around the house and maybe one Open Jam that I might be looking to part with. All my stuff stays in their boxes.

Does the black version have a "noticeable mid hump?"

i have the new LTD v.2, and it is currently my go-to low gain OD. Like the website says, this version has less mids and more bass than the original black LTD. With that said, the v.2 still adds a touch of mids, which works perfectly with my blackface Fender bassman. I absolutely love this pedal...
