Help identifying guitar (and treat for deadheads)

I picked this up a while ago and was just curious if anyone had any clues as to its origins. All I was told was it was a Japanese made guitar. Everything has been refinished and/or upgraded except the neck. [I actually don't play my strats much any more but the hippie in me couldn't resist ]

Thanks for any help!

Okay, why would Deadheads view this as a treat?

Well, that might just be me speaking to myself But what I was thinking was that it has the "hippie sandwich" neck-through design (a la alembic) and the finish was re-done to get at Garcia's "wolf" guitar. No, not a replica at all, just an inspiration of the prior owner...

Anyway, thanks for the help. Not looking to sell or anything, just curious if any info was out there. I don't know about the Japanese origin - that was just the opinion of the person who worked on it.

I would be interested if it were to be put up for sale as I love strats and always wondered what a neckthru would be like
