Crunchy/Gritty Distortion Help

I am looking for a distortion pedal that is very crunchy and gritty. What I don't want is a pedal that is fuzzy and loses definition. I want it to be somewhere between my little big muff and tubescreamer. For example, the DS-1 and RAT can be a little too fuzzy for me. Also, I would like it to be trebly in tone. Any suggestions?

There are soooo many. I would suggest lurking here for awhile and maybe use the search funtion. You might check out Skreddy pedals, I love mine.
Youtube has a bunch o' clips on different fuzzes.

That's the thing, I don't want a fuzz.

Might want to check out the Lovepedal Purple Plexi 800 or M.I. Audio Crunchbox. The crunchbox has more treble/presence.

MI Audio Crunch Box. Set to a pretty smooth distortion, a simple roll back for the guitar's volume knob will get the 'grindy' dist you described.

+1 on the Crunchbox. You might want to check out the CMAT Brownie as well. I don't know if it's gritty enough but it's worth checking out.
This might be helpful:

Also, my Throbak Overdrive Boost is capable of very gritty to very smooth to very fuzzy and everything in between. It just doesn't do modern high-gain sounds. Awesome pedal, nonetheless.

Thanks for the suggestions. One thing to add is I would like the pedal to keep the low end.

What kinds of music are you playing? The Tonefactor/Mojohand Mule does that for me. It's all highs and lows, can be a bit bright, gritty but not fuzzy. Tweedy crunch, not Marshall crunch, a la the Crunch Box. At lower gain, it sounds like the guitar on Tom Petty's Runnin' Down a Dream. On the high-gain end it's Neil Youngish, but a little less saturated. Lots of video clips of it online.

For crunchy and gritty, you can't go wrong with either the Catalinbread SCOD or the Subdecay Liquid Sunshine.

Homebrew Electronics Big D Distortion is nice and gritty. Big chunky sound. Sounds great to me. Nice range of tones in there.

Diamond Fireburst... Covers some fuzz and distortion with lots of flexibility.

I thought the liquid sunshine was more of a light overdrive.
