Hello!
Ok I thought it could be better to start another thread. My strat is a Fender Classic Player 50, it came with Vintage 57/62 pickups. I need more output, more versatility, a cleaner sound I'd say and less noise too. My references are David Gilmour, Steve Rothery (Marillion) and Andy Latimer (Camel). I love Steve Rothery's clean sound (Roland JC120 + EMG SA pickups it seems). Maybe the EMG would be a good choice? Or is there any good passive model which would be as good? My budget is not really known at the moment, but I'd say it's in the range of the DG 20 EMG kit. What do you think? Thank you very much!

Best Strat pickups I ever used are Kinmans. Noiseless without sounding sterile. Awesome pickups.

Check out the Van Zandt Vintage Plus for the neck and middle positions, and the Rock for the bridge position. Very musical, and they can reverse wind the middle pickup to cut the 60 cycle hum in the 2 and 4 positions.
Good luck!
