PedalTrain Pro Soft Case users
I'm thinking about getting a PT Pro SC and was wondering how durable the case is. Once I load it up, the board will be pretty heavy. I don't gig much anymore (say once every 2 months) and only travel to practice once a week. I've been using smaller combos of different pedals but I've been itching to put a large board together like I used to use back in the day. So is the soft case durable enough to handle all that weight? My other option would be to buy two PT2's.
I'm sick of seeing pedals on the shelf and I don't want to sell anymore!!!

Seems to be. I'd estimate the weight of my pedalboard in the softcase at around 50 lbs. The carrying handle is two pieces of moulded soft plastic that one fits inside the other to create a round carrying handle. Kinda wierd, but works, I guess.
Outer shell appears pretty rugged and there is a bit of hard support at the base, opposite the carrying handle. Not much storages space in the outside compartment. dave

The case is durable....the handles I'm not so sure about. They look really tough (thick woven nylon) but one of mine ripped right where it joins the bag and I'm not sure how. I'm thinking it may have been weakened already (it's basically brand new) and it was just a freak thing, but that's my experience.

Well, like I said it kinda seems like a freak thing because I don't even remember it happening. I'm thinking maybe that handle was just defective or something. OTOH, the shoulder strap has been great!

The metal thingies that hold the shoulder-strap broke on mine. I fixed it with some zipties. The zipper inside the bag (for the little compartiment) broke too. The rest seems to hold up pretty good.
And yes, it can get heavy!

My PT2 Soft case is ripping at the bottom where the hard plastic support is. Other than that, it's been dynamite

So it seems like there are some issues with the soft cases but not enough to keep people from rockin them anyway. I could always get a replacement if it dies on me i guess
