Here is a quick question for you guys.
The search engine didn't seem to give up to much on this question,so here goes ![]() For those of you that have your pedalboards set up. (1)Do any of you split your power between batteries and power supplies? (2)Run all your pedals off a powersupply? (3)Run your boards off strictly batteries? (4)batteries only for fuzz pedals? Thanks for any input

I got rid of the NASA pedal board, and I'm only running 6 pedals now (3 of which are passive). I bought a metric ass-ton of 9-volt batterries from IKEA, and I put new ones in before every show. Never been happier!

I have one battery-powered pedal - an older ZVex. I use it as the "input" for my board, so I have to remember to unplug when not in use. The rest are coming off a One Spot daisy chain (except for the Vortex, which uses its own 9vac adapter).

Everything runs off my Voodoo labs Pedal Power 2. The nice thing about batteries is you don't have to run DC power cables and some pedals sound better with a half-dead batter (half good if you want to be optomistic!) BUT it's a pain in the butt to change out batteries all the time. The Pedal Power 2 is great, it even has SAG which lowers the voltage to give the equivelant of a half used battery.

I'm too lazy to do batteries anyway. Built a good power supply based on the IC regulator with plenty of filtering and a gazillion jacks. Plenty of power since it can do a solid 1.5A and the transformer I used is about a 3A so it stays cool.

i run a pp2 and a dc brick on my board. the brick allows for 3 pedals to be powered up to 18V. i use a battery in an old cs-2 because i like the sound better, but i only use that at country-ish gigs.

Power supply for everything but fuzz. It's the only sane, green way to go, never worry about a damn thing, never have to pull input jacks after playing, change one battery 3-4 times a year....have had two Pedal Power I units running trouble free for almost a decade now.

All my pedals are velcroed down to a pedaltrain and powered with 3 1-spots and daisy chains...
I have a TON of pedals and batteries would be a giant pain and expensive... I am eventually gonna upgrade to a few voodoo lab pp2's...for isolated power...less noisy |

I have everything (6 pedals) powered by a 1-Spot except my wah since it doesnt have an adaptor for the daisy chain and my compressor since it is on top of my amp and not close enough to my board to be powered.

I use a Diago Powerstation to power everything on my board except for the fuzz, which I power with cheap batteries. The Diago is really great.

Everything off AC. Can leave pedals plugged in, don't have to worry about a battery dying mid gig, don't have to shop for or pay for batteries. What's not to like?

I had a chance to compare the PP2+ I own to a 1-Spot. And, with the same setup the PP2+ was dramatically less noisey. It really amazed me, because I did not think it would make that big of a difference...

I've been using a PP2+ for a number of years now, but recently I bought a One Spot for a gig I had in Europe. The One Spot can handle the different voltage there without any transformers or anything whereas the PP2+ would need one. The One Spot is cheap, very simple design, small, lightweight, and convenient. I was thrilled with it. No noticeable noise, and I ran 7 pedals with it (Boss DD20, zvex BOR, FDII, Keeley Comp, Boss TU2, Ibanez DE7, Boss RV5). Some pedals will not like the daisy chaining though - the other guitarist used one with his Line 6 Echo Park and it buzzed like crazy until he gave it it's own power supply or battery.
