Looking for a low wattage amp

I am looking for a new low wattage amp my AC30 is just to loud for most of my applications, everybody is always complaining about my stage volume. I prefer an EL84 amp. Leaning towards a bad cat cub but also interested in matchless, top hat, Dr.Z, goodsell, and gabriel voxer. Any idea's? I mostly play rock

I Love the GDS 18 watter! (Graydon Stuckey)
Why not try the Vox 30 watt modeling amp with the attenuator, a steal for 250.00!!

Your list seems pretty "voxy". How about some more Marshally stuff with built in attenuation like the Badger 18 (or 30, Fargen miniplex (or mightyplex II) or Aiken?
I'm really digging my Winfield 18/30 watt combo and he also makes an AC15 clone with a MV (all EF86).
Finally, for Fender I recommend a Gries amp - my Gries 5 is just perfect for home/studio, but he also makes larger sizes as well, most if not all with MV's.

I made the same decision. My TopHat Supreme 16 has served me well. I get to hit my amps sweet spot without the sound guy and other band members nagging me to lower my stage volume.

Dr. Z Carmen Ghia and Maz 18 are great EL84 amps ... may want to get an Airbrake attenuator as well as they're loud.

That would be a good choice. You can get the Reeves with power scaling for low volume playing, they are well built and the Reeves 12 is a lightweight combo. EL84 flavor.

IMO, if 30 watts is too loud, I don't think you will fare much better with an 18 watter. Of course, it depends on the amp. Some of the power scaling options seem intriguing but, I have an H/C-30 that even in 1/2 power (15w) mode is still way louder than what a lot of places will tolerate.

YMMV.
