eq pedals...pre distortion or post distortion

Where is YOUR eq pedal, before or after distortion and why?
What kind of pedal do you have?

mxr 10 band eq before distortion for me...

I also have a boss ge-7 after but the mxr is the real tone shaper, the boss is just very slight tweaks

my 'vote' was after, because that is how i use it. . . .lately

. . . but my real answer is 'yes'

it works either way . . . .

i happen to use a second timmy as an eq after my rat to 'fix' the lack of bass or to tighten it up. otherwise, it is set dead clean. sometimes, i will add the dirt to take the rat into sustanialove. . .

i also love the timmy . . .LOVE it after a KOT. the kot actually has the smoothest overdrive i know of . . . but has a bass roll off. . . so i 'fix' it with the timmy. . .

i've rarely used it in front. . . but it works there also. . .

. . . it's probably more mental than anything. . . but maybe not?

i think gilmour used his post-dirt. . . and he used 'em all the time. . . except he gets to step on one of them cool switching things and have all the pedals on at one time. . .

It sounded good to me bro. You definitely are getting good tone out of that rig and you SHOULD be questioning the thousands you have tied up in all that other gear. I think I need to go look in the mirror now.

c. All of the above

Catalinbread VariOboost prior to drives for more extreme EQing like cocked wah/lo-fi radio/treble booster type stuff and an Antelope MDEQ post drives for global tone shaping.
