strat bridge replacement

is it possible to replace the original bridge set up on stratocaster with a whammy bar with bridge that does not have a whammy bar? is there a exact replacement? i can handle the intonation etc but i dont have any exp with fenders but am salivating over a california strat with a rosewood fingerboard in nicely aging white finish. but i hate whammy bars so does someone know?
thanks in advance

the beauty of the fender strat trem is that all you have to do is add a spring or two and crank the 2 trem claw screws down, and bam, instant fixed bridge! (be sure to adjust the 6 screws that hold down the front edge of the trem so that the whole thing sits flat on the body, so not too tight.)

that would be the little trick of moving the mid pickup tone control to the bridge pickup.

The trem can be blocked in a number of ways and there are lots of nifty wiring tricks too including the one walter mentioned above. You have lots of options, just search the threads and see...
