Tubes Best and Cheapest 6L6 and 12ax7s?

Where to buy and what is the best sounding and cost effective 6L6 tubes and 12ax7s tubes?

Seems like tube prices have really gone up (like everything else). Have not bought a replacement set of 4 years.

Best and Cheapest rarely exist in the same product. They DO NOT exist in the same tubes, period.

Eh 12AX7s are decent (as good as any new production tubes) and $10 each. TAD 6L6GCs are decent and cost around $40 a pair.

Agreed. This is the best compromise between price and performance. Not the cheapest, but less expensive tubes may actually cost you more since you'll likely be replacing them more often.
