a little journey

http://www.pacocasanovas.ch/diekleinereise.mp3

or how to play over an almost one-chord-progression

and btw....it's done with a cheap 200$ strat copy from Tanglewood, actually not a bad guitar, i like it!

it's a demo, and far away from being finished.....but i'm working on the idea

greeetz

Nice playing. I like the contrast of your chime-like rhythm guitar and the more classic strat sound of the lead.

Good stuff.

Paco ... this is simply superb guitar playing ...
Phrasing, feel, touch, tone, musicality .... With an impeccable sense of time on top of it
Plus blew me away how it was so just sweet and tasteful, yet still retained a certain hip quality .....

Also have to menton that this rates as one of my most favorite tones ever ..
And to think it's from a cheap Strat copy ...!!

Which leads me to ask the inevitable question;
what were you using in order to achieve such a beautiful, softly overdriven sound ...?

Very nice! This sounds like something I would go on a Sunday afternoon drive to. Nice tone too. Look foward to hearing the completed tune.

Such a musical cat Paco! Always the right notes and great time. Sweet articulation too. A little JB nod in there too. Loved the jazzy bits around 1:45 on.

Very nice. Keep working on that idea..it's a good one! Very cool ambience to that piece, and nice playing. I am with scottl on the nice set of jazzy licks you throw in at 1:45. They serve as a nice (subtle) contrast to the more straight ahead playing in the rest of the piece. Well done.

Superb playing. It reminded me of a cross between santana, schon and knopfler.
